The California Schools Healthy Air, Plumbing and Efficiency Program (CalSHAPE) will provide funding to upgrade heating, air conditioning, and ventilation (HVAC) systems in public schools and also to replace noncompliant plumbing fixtures and appliances that fail to meet water efficiency standards.
Upcoming Program Deadlines
June 1, 2026 – CalSHAPE Plumbing Program Final Reporting Deadline
October 31, 2026 – CalSHAPE Ventilation Program Final Reporting Deadline
December 1, 2026 – CalSHAPE Funding Liquidation. All Unspent Funds Returned to Utilities
Ventilation Reconciliation Reporting and Expiration Updates
Reconciliation Reports: Grantees are now able to submit the required Reconciliation Report at the same time as the Assessment Report.
Expiration Requirements: Grantees are required to submit both the Assessment Report and the Reconciliation Report by the grant term end date for ventilation grants.
Other Updates
Grantees must submit the Workforce Attestation & Verification form during assessment submission, for each individual who performed work on the assessment. The form is available for download under the "Templates" section of the CalSHAPE Ventilation Program menu. Detailed information is available in the Assessment Companion Document.
